A wired magnetic door sensor is a security device used to detect when a door is opened or closed. It consists of two parts:

1. Magnet – Installed on the door itself.
2. Reed Switch (Sensor) – Installed on the door frame and connected to a security system via wires.

Product Description:

This is an inductive proximity sensor with an M18 cylindrical housing designed to detect the presence of metallic objects without physical contact. The sensor uses an oscillating electromagnetic field to sense metal targets and provides a PNP normally open (NO) output signal when a target is detected.

Because it is a non-flush (non-shielded) type, it offers a longer sensing distance compared to flush types and must be mounted with sufficient clearance around the sensing face to avoid false triggering.
